Coronation Portraits 2023
This series of portraits and artworks was created to commemorate a significant moment in British history – the coronation of King Charles III. My way of marking this remarkable event is through the art of drawing. The British Monarchy is in a state of constant evolution, and as we all know, change is the only constant in life. The portraits you see here serve as a visual representation of this ongoing transformation. Each member depicted conveys a distinct set of emotions, and my primary objective was to thoroughly research and then capture these emotions through the use of pencil strokes, collages, and some digital techniques. This project highlights the unique story of each individual and seeks to kindle a flame of hope for the future that lies ahead of us

Queen Elizabeth II is a monarch who epitomizes adaptability. While steadfast in upholding traditions and values, she has also embraced a pivotal role in navigating technological and socio-political transformations during her reign. Her ability to intrigue and inspire is a sentiment I share, evoking the same sense of wonder when I reflect on this present moment. These portraits stand as a testimony to the emotions she has stirred within me.
